What You Will Learn Podcast Publish a Book Podcast  is looking for a Producer for their new Podcast ‘Publish A Book’. They will be speaking to world-famous, best-selling authors to speak about the content of their books and discuss how they went about writing, publishing and selling their work. We will be inspiring thousands of people through informative content and encourage people to think about writing their own book!

Who:

Preferably an interest in books, particular non-fiction books (business, finance, personal development, self help, ‘how to’ books etc). Won’t really be focusing on fiction just yet.
Perfect for a uni student or recent graduate that wants some real world experience
Someone excited by the fact that they will be sharing helpful information with the world
For you:

  • Perfect experience to add to your resume if you want a job in film/tv/radio/media/writing/publishing etc
  • Opportunity to meet best selling authors from around the world
  • Practice in locating and contacting high-profile personalities
  • Skill development and help in applying for jobs form someone who has got 17 jobs out of 18 applications
  • Potential to become a co-host if that is something you’re interested in
  • Potential to expand role to written content, marketing, social media, live events – whatever you are interested in

What is required:

  • Contacting authors or their agents requesting a half hour podcast interview
  • Obtaining copies of their book
  • We can both read the book and highlight the areas we think are best/most important. From there, we can build out a bit of an episode plan.
  • Interviews will be either in person or over skype. Come along and meet the authors and experience the interview. As stated above – if you’d like to become a co-host, we can investigate that possibility.
  • Unpaid at the start, probably only requires 1-2 hours a week of scheduling and planning, then an hour for the interviews. Plenty of room to grow to paid positions and other roles if interested. Food and drinks covered whenever we record an episode
