Student Volunteers for Project MonMa

Project MonMa is looking for volunteer students to help create posters, videos, PR and marketing materials for their campaign.

Project Monma is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to show that violence and dis-
crimination is a global problem and is not confined to certain countries, religions or
cultures and is therefore everybody’s problem. Violence and discrimination by men towards women around the world is severely underreported, therefore under acknowledged.

Student Projects

4422246127_a72844868e_b

This semester there is a particular abundance of students doing the undergrad. subject Media Arts project and we have a huge amount of Project Runners/Directors. This means that they are in need of eager crew members to help make their projects possible. It is highly encouraged that students in lower years of the course dive in head first and put up their hands to crewing on projects. This is the best way to gain valuable experience…and gain a clearer sense of direction for your career pathway following your degree at UTS. The same applies to post graduate students in the MA!

Particularly needed amongst current projects are:

Audio: Recordist, Bom Operator, Sound Designer

Lighting: Gaffer and Best Boys

If you are interested in being involved in a project, jump on the MAP Facebook Group and write a post. You’ll be contacted within minutes (trust me).

Attention all project runners: I will do a post about last minute crew needed in a large single post between Monday 22nd and Friday 26th August. Please send any crew requests on Monday 22nd August to have them featured in the post.

Please include in this order:

  1. Project Name
  2. Format: Fiction/Doco/Other form of media (eg. installation, web-based)
  3. Project Logline
  4. Crew role/s still needed
  5. Shooting dates (include tentative start/finish times where possible)

SCREENWRITING OPPORTUNITY WITH TRUCE FILMS

weve-all-been-there

Truce Films is looking to network and strengthen its relationship with emerging writers across Australia,
specifically looking for new and exciting projects to partner with for development.

For projects that take their interest, TRUCE will perform the role as a development producer, assisting the writer in crafting their story for the marketplace. As part of this arrangement they would put in place a program to develop the writer’s screenplay over multiple drafts to a point where it is production ready.

TRUCE is a production company creating content and entertainment whilst servicing the advertising industry. Their previous short film productions include 2016 Flickerfest winner Slingshot and 2013 Tropfest winner We’ve All Been There. They have produced short films that have appeared at both the Melbourne and
Sydney International Film Festivals, BFI London Film Festival, Raindance and many, many more around
the world.
