TEDx Sydney are looking to curate a diverse bunch of films (drama / comedy / doco / animation / experimental / live etc), made exclusively for TEDxSydney 2017 by brilliant Australian creative and filmmaking talent.
UTS students have been invited to submit a film for the coming year’s screenings!

The theme is ‘Unconventional’. Duration: 1-3 minutes. Closing date for submissions: 3rd February 2017.

Films selected for the 2016 program were watched on the day by an audience of over 140,000 and TEDxSydney online content has been viewed 85,000,000+ times to date. Plans are underway to make next year the largest live TEDxSydney event to dateThey’re also holding an exclusive invite-only film preview night for the final selected shorts, in the lead up to the big day, to mingle and celebrate.

Glug Sydney Creative Networking Event – Christmas Event

Earlier this semester I promoted a creative networking event called Glug. This December 15th will be their final and third networking event for the year. I managed to gain some feedback from attendees to the last Glug event and they felt that the talks provided were very interesting and valuable, plus they’re free!

The world’s most prestigious mountain film festival is coming back to the Randwick Ritz. The 2017 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour showcases over 2 1/2 hours of the most enthralling mountain adventure films that will have you planning your next adventure before the credits roll.
The tour is hot on the heels of the largest – and one of the most prestigious – mountain festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Festival, which takes place every November in the mountain town of Banff, in Canada.

More than 300 of the world’s best mountain sport, culture, environment, adventure, and exploration films are shown during the week-long event. A selection of award winners and audience favourites then tours the globe, visiting 390 communities and 35 countries as part of the festival’s official world tour.
This year, the Australian line-up features two-and-a-half hours of captivating short films shot in some of the most wild and remote corners of the world.
