Sydney Latin American Film Festival Pre Fest Cine Lounge
In anticipation for the official film festival beginning on September 8th 2016, SLAFF is proud to present Cine Lounge: a month long series of Latin American film and culture sessions held at the funky 107 projects in Redfern starting from Friday the 29th of July. Featuring an amazing line-up of traditional and contemporary Latin influences in music, dance and film, these much loved sessions embrace SLAFF’s belief that cinema is an immersive cultural experience for all.
Their opening session on Friday the 29th of July will open with the haunting, Kafka-esque Chilean featiure I am not Lorena.
The evening will feature a mix of traditional and contemporary Latin American soundscapes by recently returned Chilean favourite, producer and musician, Pato Lara. There will also be a selection of flavoursome Chilean bites and empanadas to enjoy throughout the evening.
