To be released this October, 2010 graduate, Matthew Webb, has written a detailed guide on how to break into the film industry and remain relevant. This is what he has to say:

I am a 2010 MAP graduate and have since been working as an Assistant Director on features such as The Great Gatsby, Mad Max: Fury Road, Pirates of the Caribbean and Alien: Covenant. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some amazing people, and it’s been terrific to see other MAP graduates doing so well and entering the industry just like me.

Over the last 18 months I’ve written a book called Setlife: A Guide to Getting a Job in Film (And Keeping It). Its aim is to prepare film school graduates for the crazy and fast-paced world of film sets. It is pretty much everything I wish I knew before I started and what I’ve learnt in the last 6 years.
