The world’s most prestigious mountain film festival is coming back to the Randwick Ritz. The 2017 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour showcases over 2 1/2 hours of the most enthralling mountain adventure films that will have you planning your next adventure before the credits roll.
The tour is hot on the heels of the largest – and one of the most prestigious – mountain festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Festival, which takes place every November in the mountain town of Banff, in Canada.

More than 300 of the world’s best mountain sport, culture, environment, adventure, and exploration films are shown during the week-long event. A selection of award winners and audience favourites then tours the globe, visiting 390 communities and 35 countries as part of the festival’s official world tour.
This year, the Australian line-up features two-and-a-half hours of captivating short films shot in some of the most wild and remote corners of the world. Sure to enthral, it showcases a selection of films packed full of mesmerising cinematography, thought-provoking storylines and adrenalin-inducing action sequences.
Audiences will experience incredible highs and agonising lows through the lenses of some of the most accomplished climbers, paddlers, skiers, snowboarders, mountaineers, mountain bikers, explorers and adventure filmmakers alive today.
Presented by World Expeditions, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be screening at the Randwick Ritz for ONE NIGHT ONLY.

Bicycle Film Festival Sydney

https-%2f%2fcdn-evbuc-com%2fimages%2f24856887%2f189777693388%2f1%2foriginal

Brendt Barbur, Founding Festival Director, was compelled to start the Bicycle Film Festival when he was hit by a bus while riding his bike in New York City.  He insisted on turning his negative experience into a positive one. In 2001 Barbur started the Bicycle Film Festival as a platform to celebrate the bicycle through music, art and, of course, film. The Bicycle Film Festival has been a major catalyst for the urban bike movement, one of the most powerful and culturally relevant forces of the last decade.

BFF returns to Sydney with an art exhibition and opening party on Thursday 24 November, screenings Friday 25th, more screenings and the BFF Sydney after party on Saturday 26th.
